Much More than a Freight Forwarding Service.

At Jerich International, freight forwarding is never an isolated service but an integral part of a holistic logistics approach. As a globally operating freight forwarding service provider, we develop integrated logistics concepts tailored to individual customers and project requirements. Our solutions connect transport, terminals, systems and services into one coordinated flow of goods, supported by professional supply chain management.

Our service portfolio is built on four interconnected pillars:

Classical freight forwarding services
Terminal logistics (RDC)
Information and IT services
Value-added services

Together, these elements form the basis of our holistic logistics approach. With the transition from a carrier to a logistics system operator, not only critical success factors have changed, but also the standards of competition within the logistics market.

The Jerich Group consistently aligns its internal performance standards with leading market benchmarks and best practices in logistics. Newly acquired knowledge is continuously integrated into the reorganization and optimization of business processes, ensuring that operational excellence evolves in line with market requirements. As a result, all operational activities within the Jerich Group are focused on the efficient realization of a continuous and coordinated flow of goods for our customers. This integrated way of thinking defines our understanding of logistics and forms the foundation of our holistic concept.

A Freight Forwarding Service Focused on Holistic LogisticsThe core business of the Jerich Group can be described as holistic logistics.

We develop comprehensive logistics packages for customers from trade and industry, rather than executing isolated shipment orders. Our work does not start with predefined transport instructions, but with the analysis of transmitted data and defined order volumes, usually combined with fixed dispatch dates and agreed delivery windows.

As an international freight forwarding company, we do not receive direct shipment orders that simply need to be executed. Instead, shipments are worked out step by step. Based on the available order data, we plan and coordinate transports on behalf of our customers in close alignment with receivers and sales offices. This includes the structuring of shipments, the coordination of dispatch schedules and the optimization of payloads, routes and transport structures, while ensuring that confirmed arrival dates and times are reliably met.

Rather than offering freight rates between two destinations, we actively contribute ideas and concepts to the logistics process. Our approach is based on the establishment of an integrated transport planning and service platform that ensures comprehensive coverage of all logistical requirements. This way of working goes far beyond traditional forwarding and clearly differentiates our freight forwarding service from conventional freight forwarding companies, forming a key element of our holistic logistics approach.

Efficiency through Specialization.

High quality and efficiency in the handling of customer orders form the basis for continuous improvements in delivery quality and scheduling reliability within our freight forwarding service. Productivity gains are achieved primarily through the targeted expansion and specialization of logistics services for our customers. Up to 75 percent of our operational capacities are dedicated to transport planning, transport execution, storage and the handling of paper products. The long-standing product expertise of our teams further enhances operational efficiency and reliability in complex forwarding environments.

The central office in Gleisdorf, together with our subsidiaries in Europe, the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the UAE, is fully equipped to manage the high complexity of international logistics requirements. This global setup enables the flexibility required to compose integrated system services and supports reliable execution across global freight forwarding structures.

The philosophy of the Jerich Group can therefore be described as strongly industry-oriented logistics. Over the past decades, the Group has specialized primarily in the paper industry, operating as an experienced international freight forwarding company for numerous customers. In addition, Jerich International is also active in the automotive sector from its locations in Gleisdorf and Perpignan. In the paper industry alone, transport planning is carried out for around 20 companies, with approximately 1.8 million tons of paper and pulp moved annually via intermodal transport.

Quality Without Compromise.

To ensure transparency and consistent performance quality, standardized procedures and processes are subject to continuous external monitoring. For this purpose, Jerich International has established a Total Quality Management system fully compliant with international ISO standards. The company has been ISO certified since 1996 and has since taken responsibility for maintaining and demonstrating its quality standards across all operational areas.

Over the years, the Jerich Group has continuously raised standards in customer performance and internal processes. These efforts were externally evaluated by TÜV Austria, and Jerich International was among the first companies to successfully implement ISO 9001, EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Experienced employees who strongly identify with the philosophy of the Jerich Group and with customer requirements apply best practices in logistics on a daily basis. Their expertise forms the foundation for long-term partnerships and enables Jerich International to act as an integral part of our customers’ organizations. Our logistics performance is consistently aligned with supporting and strengthening our customers’ value-added chains.

On-Time Shipments as a Freight Forwarding Service Standard.

Due to our high degree of specialization in the paper and automotive sectors, Jerich International works exclusively with customers for whom strict adherence to dispatch and delivery dates is a given. As a professional freight forwarding service, we take responsibility for monitoring dispatch dates at production sites and distribution centers as well as arrival times at customer locations.

This applies both to direct deliveries and to pre-carriage from the mill to the distribution center, where subsequent transport stages are already integrated into the planning process. Loading and unloading time windows are defined in advance and form an integral part of our customers’ Total Quality Management (TQM) systems. These parameters are continuously monitored to ensure reliability, transparency and on-time performance throughout the transport chain.
