The Foundation of Our International Logistics ServicesThe history and development of Jerich International as a global logistics group.
The dynamic development of global markets and the increasing complexity of international supply chains shaped the early strategic direction of the group. As logistics activities expanded beyond national borders, Jerich International was established as the corporate identity to clearly reflect the international scope of the company’s business.
From the outset, the focus was on reliable international logistics services with a long-term perspective and a strong operational foundation, aimed at forming long-term partnerships with our customers and helping them optimize their workflows.
From Regional Beginnings to International Logistics Services
A Legacy of Logistics. A Future of Excellence. Shaping Progress One Milestone at a Time.
Founded in 1969 by Herbert Jerich, the company developed steadily from a regional logistics provider into an internationally active freight logistics company. Under his leadership as CEO and sole shareholder, the organization continuously expanded its transport expertise and service portfolio within the field of logistics services.
A significant milestone was reached in 1989 with the establishment of Jerich Italia, the group’s first market-specific external warehouse in Cittadella, Italy. The site provided consignment warehousing, part-load solutions and just-in-time services tailored to customer requirements. Today, located in Marghera near Venice, Jerich Italia focuses on container stuffing and shipments to the Middle East, benefiting from direct port access and combined rail transport solutions.
Expanding Horizons. Strengthening Connections. The Development of Jerich Germany: A Look at Our History and International Expansion
In 1998, Jerich Germany commenced operations with the DC Wesel logistics center for Sappi. The facility was gradually developed into a comprehensive service and transport platform serving Germany, Scandinavia and the Netherlands. Increasing volumes and growing customer demand led to the expansion of the site with a third warehouse, further strengthening Jerich’s international logistics services within Europe.
Since 2000, the Gleisdorf terminal has operated as a central coordination hub for Eastern Europe and Turkey. From this location, transport planning for multiple production sites is managed efficiently. During the same period, Jerich International expanded its presence beyond Europe with subsidiaries in New Jersey, Charleston and Los Angeles, reinforcing its role as an internationally positioned provider of logistics services.
International Logistics Services Through Integrated Structures
