40 New Trucks for the Jerich Fleet
A fleet renewal that starts with the driver's workplace – and gets its face in the paint booth.
Our fleet is growing by 40 brand-new Mercedes-Benz Actros L trucks with the ProCabin in Giga specification. The flat cab floor creates noticeably more freedom of movement and sets the tone for a cab designed to be both a workplace and a temporary home.
We deliberately did not cut corners on the specification. A comfort air-suspended driver's seat, two comfort beds – a lower berth and a wide, levelling upper berth – an electric parking air conditioner, automatic climate control and an auxiliary heater keep conditions right around the clock. Added to that: the Multimedia Cockpit Interactive 2, navigation system and CB radio, a table on the passenger side, overhead storage compartments above the windscreen, an electric glass sliding sunroof, and ambient lighting with separate settings for driving and living.
The safety package is just as thorough: LED matrix headlights for well-lit night driving, MirrorCam instead of conventional mirrors for a better all-round view, active distance assist and Active Drive Assist 3. Systems that take pressure off the driver on long stretches – and think ahead when it matters.
The trucks get their face in the paint booth at Daimler Truck. The Jerich design is not a wrap but a full custom paint finish in green, rapeseed yellow and white. The work behind it is considerable: the cab is dismantled, every part cleaned and masked, the paint templates applied to the millimetre, then the colours are sprayed layer by layer – and only afterwards is everything reassembled. Which part gets which shade is set out precisely in the paint plan. A real paint finish delivers what a wrap only promises: it lasts for years, through wash bays and over every kilometre.
Looking ahead is part of any fleet strategy. Vehicles delivered from July 2027 will meet the new noise regulations, and from 29 May 2028 the Euro 7 emissions standard follows. That keeps our fleet up to date on both emissions and noise – for our drivers, for our customers, and for everyone who shares the road with us.
