Atlanta
Jerich USA is pleased to announce the opening of Jerich USA’s newest distribution center in Atlanta, GA. The 100,000 square foot RDC was established in conjunction with Sappi North America, who awarded the business to Jerich USA after an extensive RFQ. Jerich will coordinate the consolidation of Sappi’s stock from Jerich’s Hanahan facility, as well as Sappi’s paper previously warehoused in Lawrenceville, GA. The new RDC in Atlanta furthers Jerich USA’s integration into Sappi North America’s supply chain. After extensive market research and analysis, Atlanta served as the best option to keep transportation costs low and position products closer to Sappi’s primary customers. Jerich Hanahan will continue to operate independently for its other customers even after the move for Sappi North America is complete.

Avenel
Jerich is proud to announce its brand new terminal in Avenel, NJ. It is our second warehouse in NJ that offers more flexibility and transloading options for our customers. The warehouse is located only 15 miles away from all major container terminals with direct access to I-95. As many of the other Jerich USA locations, our Avenel facility is equipped with rail siding (served by CSX) for those customers requiring box car service and offers heavy weight container service. We can offer 80,000 sq.ft. of additional warehouse space with 8 box car doors and 16 dock doors.

The 275,000 sq ft warehouse is ideal because of its proximity to the Port of Chicago and easy access from major highways. In early 2000 the Jerich Group opened up its first Distribution Center in the U.S. and chose Port Newark as its location. In February 2005, Jerich USA‘s Northeast Distribution Center moved to its brand new location in Dayton, NJ. The DC is situated 30 minutes south of Port Newark Container Terminal, which is among the most advanced container terminals on the US East Coast. The Dayton location is an ideal hub for the handling and distribution of both overseas containers and domestically produced goods. The Jerich USA terminal features indoor rail sidings and a world-class freight forwarding network that ensures accurate and timely delivery to meet customer demands.

Houston is the newest expansion location for Jerich USA. Our newest DC is situated in the port and is being operated in conjunction with PGS USA. Barbours Cut Container Terminal, the largest container terminal on the U.S. Gulf Coast, is directly in eye’s view from the premises. The port of Houston is ranked first in the United States in foreign waterborne tonnage and second in the U.S. in total tonnage. Being positioned in this market was the next logical step for Jerich USA, as it allows us to expand upon our network and offer a more complete and effective supply chain. Jerich is proud to announce its brand new terminal in Carson, CA. It is our second warehouse in CA which offers more flexibility and transloading options for our customers. The warehouse is located right next to our existing main building on 230th Street in Carson. It's also located in the heavy weight corridor to allwow our customers to transload from 26 mt payload containers into legal weight over the road trailers. The warehouse increases our current warehouse footprint by 100,000 sqft.

The Northwest Distribution Centers are the newest additions to the Jerich USA warehouse network. Opening these DCs give our customers another option for expedited transit times to their Northwest customer base. Opened in January 2010, the warehouses are strategically located in Fife, WA just south of Port of Seattle and Tacoma. There are 50,000 sq. ft. currently available, however, the space can be custom tailored to fit the needs of any size account.

Gleisdorf is the central point of contact for all logistics and IT projects carried out by the Jerich Group. The core area of the organization’s activities, our expertly managed dispatch team, is responsible for running the in-house fleet of 27 articulated lorries and employs up to 120 lorry drivers and freight-forwarding companies. Some 20,000 individual dispatch assignments are performed each year, with paper transports accounting for 75% of the business.
Jerich Gleisdorf was able to reach new standards in customer performance and processes. These efforts have been evaluated in June 06 by TÜV Wien. We were one of the first companies who successfully implemented the new ISO 9001:2000 and EN ISO 14001.
We began our close business partnership in 2004, which led us into the automotive industry through our grassroots. We are responsible for up to 12,000 tons of raw material and perform just-in-time-delivery directly to the machines. The logistic terminal is able to fulfill the strict requirements with three 32 ton overhead cranes and a heated warehouse area. The just-in-time deliveries are carried out using our own truck fleet.
In terms of infrastructure, the logistics terminal in Gleisdorf fully matches the organization’s perception of itself as a systemic logistics provider. Our terminal consists of 300 m of railway sidings and 10,000 m2 of warehousing space - as well as a container terminal.

On the 1st of January 2010 the Max Schmidt Papierlogistik has been integrated as a new division in the Jerich International Group. Located in Karlsruhe, near Stuttgart, the hub respectively warehouse plays a strategic role in the area South-West-Germany and is of course perfectly linked to the entire Jerich Network in Europe. The warehouse (10.000 m²) and its facilities (including an inside railway siding) in Kornwestheim enable a smooth handling, cross-docking and storing of about 150.000 year’s tonnage.

Wesel (DE)
Jerich Germany operates the Wesel Distribution Centre that has been set up by Sappi. Wesel DC is situated on the edge of the Ruhr areas, 50 km to the north of Dusseldorf in the Rhine port at Emmelsum. Pulp & Paper, which account for 90 % of the total goods (600.000 tonnes) handled each year by the logistics centre, are transshipped via intermodal transport for import and export.
Measuring 155 m in length and with a 50 tonne overhead crane, the wharf is able to manage the loading and unloading of inland vessels that are deployed in the cellulose and container handling sectors. The railway sidings at Wesel DC have been designed to deal with a daily volume of 40 freight cars.
