Founded in 1969 by Herbert Jerich, Jerich has grown into a global logistics leader under his leadership as CEO and sole shareholder. In 1989, leveraging its transport expertise, Jerich established Jerich Italia as its first market-specific external warehouse in Cittadella, Italy, offering consignment warehousing, part-loads, and just-in-time services. Today, located in Marghera near Venice, Jerich Italia focuses on container stuffing and shipments to the Middle East, benefiting from port access and combined rail transport.
The Development of Jerich Germany: A Look at Our History and International Expansion
In 1998, Jerich Germany began operating the DC Wesel for Sappi, developing it into a service and transport platform serving Germany, Scandinavia, and the Netherlands, and expanded with a third warehouse to handle rising volumes.
Since 2000, the Gleisdorf terminal has operated as a hub for Eastern Europe and Turkey, managing transport planning for multiple mills, while Jerich expanded internationally with subsidiaries in New Jersey, Charleston, and Los Angeles.
