Decisive for the conferment of this title were the commercial competence of Herbert Jerich sen. as an entrepreneur and the international orientation of the Jerich Group, which represents his lifework. For his merits and work performed, Herbert Jerich sen. was called to the commercial curia at the federal agency “Statistic Austria”. In a solemn ceremony he was appointed “Kommerzialrat” by the Federal Chancellor Dr. Wolfgang Schüssel on the 8th of November 2006.
